This year, a major educational initiative is being introduced in the European Schools system. A new framework, outlined in document 2024-01-D-33-en-2 titled Framework for Work Experience (WEX) and Citizenship Action Programme for All (CAAP), requires all European School students to complete at least one of the two programmes—CAAP or WEX—by the end of S6.

While completing one of these programmes is mandatory, we strongly encourage students and their families to consider participating in both. These initiatives aim to develop students‘ social and professional skills, preparing them for the challenges of active citizenship and the professional world.
